HAL (High Ability Learner) at Papillion La Vista South high school does not have a specific pull out program. Our goal for the HAL program here at PLSHS as well as my personal goal is to help provide enrichment opportunities through the various core departments in addition to the AP and honors classes provided here at South.

Some Events and Activities Sponsored at PLSHS:

Science Olympiad (Science Club)

TEAMS (Math and Science Club)

World War I National Museum (Social Studies Dept.)

Mock Trial

These are just a few opportunities available at PLSHS.

PLSHS has a number of students (9-12) who fall under the HAL umbrella, which would make it difficult to have a pull out program at the high school level which is why HAL at PLSHS promotes these various extracurricular activities.

Mr. Stenger is taking his AP History classes to the National World War I museum in Kansas City for the second year in a row. Registration for classes for the next academic year is right around corner. If your son or daughter is interested history, they should consider enrolling in an AP History class for the next academic year. These classes are open primarily to future 11th and 12th grade students; however the social studies department will allow future 10th grade students who meet specific academic requirements and have demonstrated that they are able to handle the rigor of an AP History class to enroll in AP World History. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Stenger at sstenger@paplv.org
